1. Issuance of Travel Documents to Belizeans

Belizeans that are not in possession of a valid passport and need to travel URGENTLY to Belize may apply for a Travel Document. These documents are valid only for direct route air travel to Belize, and cannot be used to travel to any other country. In order to apply for such a document, the following must be submitted:

1. Completed passport application form
2. Two passport sized photographs
3. Old passport or Original Birth Certificate, and Original Marriage Certificate (if applicable)

Processing time for Travel documents are approximately 2 – 3 weeks.

The following fees are charged by the Embassy for Travel Documents:

Issuance of Travel Document – US $ 25.00

Shipping and handling – US $ 30.00 (Federal Express)

An optional URGENT processing fee of US $ 25.00 is charged if the applicant wishes to have the application processed the same day that it is received.

Belizean nationals who wish to change the name that appears in their Belizean passport due to marriage, adoption, etc, need to submit the following:

1. Belizean passport
2. Passport application
3. Original Marriage Certificate, Adoption Certificate, or other applicable Legal Documents

The following fees are charged for Amendments of Name in a passport

•  Amendment of Name – US $ 15.00

• Shipping and handling – US $ 30 (via Federal Express courier)
