Thank you for visiting the website of the Embassy of Belize in the United States of America, to which I offer you a warm Belizean welcome.  In keeping with the foreign policy priorities of the Government of Belize, this website has been designed both to serve Belize nationals living abroad, as well to provide updated information on our beautiful country to those who may be interested in visiting or doing business in Belize.

Belize is a peaceful, democratic, English speaking nation located in Central America, and it fuses the distinctive culture and rhythm of the English speaking Caribbean with the Latin America flavor of Central America in a most inviting manner.  Belize is both Caribbean and Central American at the same time; we are the bridge between these two regions, and the Government of Belize is working assiduously to bring these two families closer together.  

In addition to our very diverse and rich culture, Belizeans are proud and responsible custodians of some of mother nature’s most beautiful inspirations, including the second longest coral reef in the world. At a time when the world is deeply concerned about climate change and its attendant maladies, Belize has taken responsible stewardship of its forests and natural endowments, to the extent that almost half of Belize’s territory is under a protected status.

The promotion of Belize as a tourism destination and as a country offering attractive investment opportunities are important elements of the work done by Belize’s diplomatic missions, and at our Embassy, we are eager and ready to present to potential investors and entrepreneurs the many lucrative opportunities that exist in our country.  To this end, our website has links to the websites of the Belize Trade and Investment Development Service, the Belize Tourism Board, the official Government of Belize website, and other very useful sources of information.
